Cory Fester Interview

Last March at the Flatlands Unlimited 5, I finally got to meet Cory Fester after hearing so much about him in the past. Cory started to get noticed a few years back
when a video of him got posted on PedalBMX, then after that he started attending events like York Jam.

I was always impressed watching his videos he was doing really difficult and original tricks. For example; A rolling boomerang into a hang five or hang five into a double boomerang. Not only was it way cool but someone was bringing back some core tricks to the table in a new way!

In 2007 Cory placed 9th at Flat Ground, thats 2 places above Sam Foakes! Recently he attended JomoPro and placed 3rd.

Well we both finally got around to getting this interview done recently so here it is!

JF Boulianne in Cream magazine

Well I just finished reading #34 of Cream magazine and our friend J-F Boulianne keeps on making the news here and abroad! In this issue JF is featured in the section La Gazette as “World Wide Traveller”. JF says that after one year in already in China he has no intention to come back anytime soon! He wakes up every morning to the sun and then goes to ride at the Amusement Park where he is employed for a total of 45 min per day! what? nice job…ride for 45min and get paid?!

Jf is staying in Shenzhen, “The city is enormous and developing at an incredible rate!” he says. Winter never drops below zero so they can ride all year long, JF also says “You can find anything here with out spending much. A few of my friends came to see me and they were sad when the time came to go back home”.

JF also reports that at no time has he ever wanted to go back home, in China he makes a living through Flatland, his own BMX lifestyle!
